No specific explanation has been provided. This is just one of many issues with this vehicle that appear to be related, and escalating in severity. I can't determine how they are related, if at all. I don't trust the safety of this vehicle and am not convinced BMW to date has performed a complete root cause analyses from the date the vehicle was put in service. I have requested BMW replace this vehicle.
