It states I said, when coming to a stop, but it is not only when coming to a stop, but even if I am in flowing traffic and have to touch my brakes to slow down at any given time, there is a loud thump sound and a jolt, all of the dash lights come on, all the gauges go to the left, the warning lights are on and it has to sit there, not for a few seconds, but until those lights go back off and then it will move very slowly, until it decides to gain power. You have no warnings as to when it will happen or when the car will regain speed when it does happen. I gave pictures of the dash on April 17, 2026, as well and these pictures have the date December 31, 2025, on them. As I was having the issue while driving it to the dealership for repair. A little while after the car turned back on, but unfortunately when trying to push down on the gas pedal nothing was happening. No revving sound and no movement of the car. Car still in drive. A police officer pulled up behind me to check if we were okay. He stayed to keep us safe until people came to push the car off to the side. During the push the wheel was almost completely locked up as well as the breaks. This is not the first time the breaks have locked up on me. Next day we got the car to a safe area to be parked. A couple days later went to try and turn the car on and immediately the car is shaking violently and making horrible noises. The car is unsafe for me to drive and unsafe for people on the road. This car is completely unable to be driven now also due to the horrible shaking. No recalls were found under my VIN, but all of these signs seem to be a problem for other people. Once, recently, a check engine light come on along with a message saying something like low power mode. We went straight to the dealer with the vehicle. They had the car for three five out of six weeks and were able to duplicate the loss of power once.  We wanted them to contact Chevy to help resolve this, but we are unsure if they actually did.  These problems first were serviced in April of 2024. I ordered it and he replaced it and the brakes are back to normal.   My research regarding this has found that his is a VERY common issue with this vehicle which has lead to costly repairs for many people and has resulted in a class action lawsuit.  This is a SERIOUS safety issue!  When a person can\u2019t hardly press their brakes when driving that endangers the lives of the driver, the occupants of the car and every other person on the road. The inability to stop the vehicle safely was directly caused by this malfunction. I contacted General Motors (GM) in April 2024 to report the initial brake vacuum failure. At that time, the issue had not yet been reproduced or inspected by a dealer or service center. Following the accident, I have been unable to confirm whether GM or any other party has   The vehicle and component have not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives since the accident. I reported the issue to GM prior to the accident, but they have not provided any assistance or resolution.  Prior to the initial brake vacuum failure in April, I did not observe any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms indicating a potential problem. The failure occurred suddenly and without warning, making it impossible to anticipate or avoid. This situation is incredibly distressing, and I believe the brake vacuum pump defect poses a serious threat to public safety. In addition to the suit there were 12 PAGES of comments from other Malibu owners who have experienced similar issues with their vacuum pump and braking system. This issue is also noted on MANY car repair forums, Chevy owner forums, YouTube repair videos etc.   Please note that when I received the check engine light on 9/5 this is the first and only time I had any indication of a potential problem with my vehicle. In the year and a half that I have owned the car there has never been any issues, warnings or check engine lights. When accelerating above 4000rpm's, the car will stall and say \"Engine Power Reduced.\" This causes the engine to completely stall and has almost caused me to be in numerous accidents. I called the dealership and they came and got my car from my house with a truck and trailer. I was advised to not drive it because one of the codes was \"Engine Oil Pressure Circuit Stuck Closed.\" They picked it up on Monday, 10/2/2023. The next day, 10/3/2023, they called me with a diagnosis. Cylinders 3 & 4 were showing over 1,000 misfires, engine oil pressure circuit stuck off, engine oil pump pressure, and an under boost code. I was informed that my spark plugs may be bad. Turns out, according to them, it needed new spark plugs. The spark plugs and air filter were replaced costing me $500 on top of the $600 that I paid for the new throttle body and hose clamp for the turbo. I got my car back last Wednesday, 10/4/2023. Today, 10/10/2023. The dash said \"Engine Power Reduced\", the engine stalled, and I was almost hit again because my car would not accelerate. This is a common problem with Malibus and it is a serious safety risk! GM had a lawsuit against them in 2018 for this SAME ISSUE with Malibus. The car is now said by dealership to have indication of an internal engine issue and affected PCV lines dealing with a defective orifice (Kiriacopoulos, et al. v. General Motors LLC, Case No. 2:22-cv-10785, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan) The car remains at a dealership and has now been there for over 30 days.  There was no warning lamps, messages prior to the air vacuum Pump/Brake booster issue. I got in the car to try driving, and it was hard to push the brake with foot, so for I knew something was wrong. In taking it in to service, was when it identified to be that issue. Those issues have been manufacturer inspected (dealership) and confirmed.   I experienced these issues since purchasing the vehicle in June of 2021. I believe that GM knows of these issues and has put me at risk on the road, along with some other symptoms of the car failures that are also well documented, and that GM is aware of, with no recalls. Also, upon a diagnostic check by another certified mechanic, the computer would not link and give codes. He told me one of the computers in the car was bad, but not sure which one. I checked and I can not qualify for the lemon law, so I contacted the general manager and said I wanted to return the car and my bank returned their money. Or, another chevrolet car, from Chevrolet, not from this lot. This car is unsafe for me and my family. He said that was not possible as the tag and title has been processed. I pointed out that crank case should be measured in INH2O.  I think they mis diaganosed and were trying to lead me to replace the PCV, and ultimately the turbocharger itself.    I think it is probably a sensor or perhaps another component. When researching the problem I found that GM it aware of the issue and should recall and fix the problem.  I have contacted GM but they refuse to reemburse me. I filed a complaint with the BBB and I see that there is a class action lawsuit over this issue. Check engine lights will show up, as well as other warning notifications on the dash board. Some of the warnings include \"Service Power Steering. Drive with Care\", \"Fuel Level Low\", and \"Service ESC\". The car will also intermittently show all gauges in the zero/off/empty position. The car will also say \"Shift to Park\" when trying to turn it on, even though it is already in shift.  I have sent the car back to the dealer 5 times to date and am about to pick it up again today as they have called me and said \"it's ready\" again. Each time they take the car, they do not address the issue. The first time I took it in, they just performed a recall repair for the camera and suggested the problem may be fixed from that. They claim they cannot fix something they cannot reproduce but I suspect they do not want to spend the time/hours/money it will take to figure out the problem since it is still under factory bumper-to-bumper warranty.  It is still under factory bumper-to-bumper warranty but Monument Chevrolet in Pasadena TX refuses to repair anything and claim there is no evidence of the problem even though I've emailed them multiple videos of the problems happening. Auto Nation in Houston TX is who has the car now.  It was recommended to me by General Motors to try another dealer. THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID THE DIAGNOSTIC COMPUTER  SHOWED EXCESS, OR UNBURNED FUEL IN THE #2 CYLINDER. THE MASTER TECH SAID HE PUT A BORE SCOPE INTO THE #2 CYLINDER AND SAW A BURNED OR DISCOLORED SPOT ON THE PISTON. THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID THAT A REGIONAL ENGINEER HAD COME DOWN FROM SPOKANE WA. AND DRIVEN THE CAR WITH ANOTHER DIAGNOSTIC COMPUTER. THEY STILL HAVE NOT DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM, AND THE DEALER SAYS THAT GM WANTS US TO TAKE THE CAR BACK AND DRIVE IT. WE FEEL THE CAR IS UNSAFE AND WE ARE REFUSING TO DRIVE IT. I THINK THIS IS A MAJOR CONCERN. I PARK THE CAR REGULARLY IN PUBLIC LOTS AT THE AIRPORT.
