With a note stating \"this jumper harness and installation will be provided (one time) without charge\". GM dealerships and GM customer assistance (parts) state that PN 84288774 does not appear in their parts system as a valid GM part. The official GM parts store [XXX]  lists this part but shows that it does not fit this vehicle. Therefore neither GM nor Western is able to provide any actionable solution to this known and documented issue. GM manufactured, sold, promoted, advertised and continues to state that snowplows can be installed on these vehicles with (or without) GM's factory snow plow prep option. Additionally GM continues to issue and publish Bulletins instructing GM dealerships how to fix this issue despite being fully aware of this impossibility. Unfortunately the core to the failed transmission has already been returned, but what if something major internally failed that locked up the drivetrain and caused an accident? My mechanic John Portal has replaced several 6L90's with multiple types of failures. GM needs to recall, and replace these CP4 pumps with a CP3 or whatever they did to correct the issue in 2017 and later engines, prior to failure. RIGHT NOW I AM WAITING FOR A CALL FROM MY DEALER TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM, MY TRUCK HAS 58,000 MILES, AND I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT ANYWHERE BECAUSE MY NOSE IS STILL BURNING FROM DRIVING 2 MILES ROUND TRIP TO A LOCAL POST OFFICE ON 9/17/2018. I RAISED THE BUCKET OF THE LOADER OVER THE CABINET AND CONNECTED IT TO THE CABINET WITH A CHAIN. I RAISED THE BUCKET UP UNTIL THE CABINET WAS ABOUT 4 INCHES OFF THE TRUCK BED. I GOT OFF THE LOADER AND PROCEEDED TO DRIVE MY TRUCK FORWARD OUT FROM UNDER THE CABINET. I STARTED TO PULL FORWARD SLOWLY WHEN I NOTICED THE BACK OF THE CABINET SEEM TO TILT SLIGHTLY DOWNWARD. I WAS CONCERNED THE WHEEL ON THE CABINET WOULD GET CAUGHT BETWEEN THE SPACE OF THE BED AND THE TAILGATE. I DECIDED TO GET OUT OF THE TRUCK AND RAISE THE BUCKET A FEW MORE INCHES HIGHER. THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING AND I PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK ( THE PARK DASH LIGHT CAME ON) AND I GOT OUT. I WALKED TOWARD THE LOADER CAB. WHEN I WAS HALFWAY THERE, THE PICKUP TRUCK ROLLED BACKWARD, HITTING THE CABINET WHICH WAS SUSPENDED FROM THE LOADER STOPPING THE TRUCK. THAT CAUSED THE CABINET TO STRIKE THE BACK OF THE TRUCK BED, PUSHING IT INTO THE CAB, BREAKING THE BACK WINDOW AND DENTING THE CAB ROOF. THERE WAS OVER $9000.00 DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK. I HAD A $2000.00 INSURANCE DEDUCTIBLE.    I HAVE FOUND THAT WHEN I MOVE THE GEAR SHIFT LEVER BETWEEN THE \" REVERSE \" AND \"  PARK\" DETENTS,  THERE IS A FLAT SPOT WHERE THE SHIFT LEVER CAN STAY AND A LIGHT WILL INDICATE EITHER \"R\" OR \"P\" DEPENDING WHERE IT RESTS ON THAT FLAT SPOT. THIS ONLY HAPPENS BETWEEN \"PARK\" AND \"REVERSE\". WHEN I GOT OUT OF THE TRUCK THE LIGHT INDICATED \"PARK\" BUT WAS ON THE FLAT SPOT AND HELD IN PARK UNTIL IT SLIPPED BACK TO THE REVERSE DETENT CAUSING THE ACCIDENT. THE ENTIRE TIME SHE WAS SCREAMING, AND OUT OF DESPERATION SHE YANKED HER THUMB OUT. HER ENTIRE THUMB IS SWOLLEN, AND BLACK AND BLUE ON THE END.     I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE THIS LOCKING FEATURE ON THE TRUCK- IT IS ENOUGH TO MAKE ME CONSIDER RETURNING THE VEHICLE- AND I HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR 6 MONTHS. I PURCHASED THIS TRUCK NEW IN MARCH 2016 FROM FRANKLIN, TN. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THATS THE WAY IT IS,BUT THEY WERE SURPRISED IT DID THAT AS WELL. DURING THE INVESTIGATION, THE CHEVROLET  SERVICE DEPARTMENT LOCATED IN VALLEY STREAM, NY STATED ON FEBRUARY 24, 2016 THAT THE ENTIRE ELECTRIC RACK OPINION FOR THE POWER STEERING WAS DEFECTED WHEN IT WAS INSTALLED DURING THE ASSEMBLY BY THE MANUFACTURE. THE 2016 SILVERADO 1500 TRUCK WAS PURCHASED NEW ON 2/08/2016, AND I HAVE CONCERNS THAT OTHER MECHANICAL PARTS IN THE VEHICLE MAY BE DEFECTED AND THE VEHICLE MAY BE UNSAFE TO DRIVE.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2016","productMake":"CHEVROLET","productModel":"SILVERADO","manufacturer":"General Motors, LLC"}]}]}
