When I moved the gear shift into reverse and lifted my foot from the pedal, the car surged more than expected and the left mirror hit the cement pillar. The dealership advised me to open a claim with a manufacturer so they could review the other ongoing issues as well as the acceleration that caused the accident. A 3rd party engineer reviewed the \"black box\" and said there was no acceleration issues and the manufacturer is not liable. However, issues have continued until present.  Today, 8/5/26, I picked up the vehicle from the service about the continuous warning light that started coming on intermittently 3 days after purchase. They were unable to find any codes from their \"factory gds scan tool\" The manufacturer wanted a master technician to ride with me so I could show him these issues I have been having. I drove to a road that was on a decline and stopped. I put the car in reverse and lifted my foot off the brake. The car immediately went backward and increased its speed to 7mph and then I put my foot on the brake to maintain control. I shared the information with the General Manager and the Service Manager of the dealership, yet they released the car to me. I then decided to have someone video this specific issue and when I reversed the car went to 8 mph. Despite 9 months of submitting claims and taking the car for service none of these safety concerns have been identified. They \"found no dtc's as active, history or pending\".","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2025","productMake":"GENESIS","productModel":"GV60","manufacturer":"Hyundai Motor America"}]},{"odiNumber":11729580,"manufacturer":"Hyundai Motor America","crash":false,"fire":false,"numberOfInjuries":0,"numberOfDeaths":0,"dateOfIncident":"12/28/2025","dateComplaintFiled":"04/07/2026","vin":"KMUKCDSC8SU","components":"SERVICE BRAKES","summary":"Brakes failed completely and car rolled down a steep driveway and flipped.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2025","productMake":"GENESIS","productModel":"GV60","manufacturer":"Hyundai Motor America"}]},{"odiNumber":11723510,"manufacturer":"Hyundai Motor America","crash":false,"fire":false,"numberOfInjuries":0,"numberOfDeaths":0,"dateOfIncident":"02/06/2026","dateComplaintFiled":"03/11/2026","vin":"KMUKB4SAXSU","components":"VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE","summary":"My wife and I have both experienced intermittent power loss on the vehicle \u2014 specifically after stopping and restarting, such as at traffic signals. During these incidents, the car moves extremely slowly even with the accelerator fully pressed, before eventually resuming normal acceleration. This has happened 3\u20134 times between us, and on one occasion, the car nearly stalled in the middle of an intersection, which was genuinely frightening.  I brought the vehicle to Genesis of Charlotte in mid-January 2026 for diagnosis. After multiple checks, the service team was unable to identify any issues and advised me to take the car back. When I asked whether they had checked with Genesis for any known reports of this issue, the service manager told me, \"That's not how we work \u2014 we diagnose by ourselves.\" I was surprised by this response, as I have since found this issue reported by other GV60 owners online (including on community forums), suggesting it may be a broader, known concern.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2025","productMake":"GENESIS","productModel":"GV60","manufacturer":"Hyundai Motor America"}]},{"odiNumber":11679938,"manufacturer":"Hyundai Motor America","crash":false,"fire":false,"numberOfInjuries":0,"numberOfDeaths":0,"dateOfIncident":"04/21/2025","dateComplaintFiled":"08/11/2025","vin":"KMUKCDSC5SU","components":"ELECTRICAL SYSTEM","summary":"The 12 volt battery does not recharge resulting in the car going dead. When that happens the car is completely dead and must be manually accessed to open the hood and jump start the car.  The first time the car would function once jump started.  The second time the car would not stay \"running\" and the battery had to be recharged for the car to function. This problem seems to be the same as the issue that prompted the recall of this car and others in the fall of 2024. It appears that the problem was not corrected in new cars produced.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2025","productMake":"GENESIS","productModel":"GV60","manufacturer":"Hyundai Motor America"}]}]}
