While driving the screen has intermittently turned off and on causing temporary unexpected loss of navigation functions, Bluetooth connectivity, and use of the back up camera. This causes a safety issue as the unexpected loss of display and connectivity has caused me to be unable to continue using hands free features during operation, and to no longer view behind the vehicle during entirety of backing. When I contacted OnStar support I was instructed to perform some troubleshooting and was then referred to the Connection Center Team. The CCT representative told me that my hardware was outdated and could not support the update. If a representative can confirm the problem retrospectivly, I think the representatives making changes to the service plan should also be able to proactively confirm incompatibility before causing the issue. There were no warnings. The issues first occured while I was driving on the day (6/25/26) my new plan began and the update was sent. I can make the HMI available for inspection upon request. I don't believe there is any actual issue with the hardware, just a negligent and incompatible software update.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2016","productMake":"GMC","productModel":"SIERRA 2500","manufacturer":"General Motors, LLC"}]},{"odiNumber":11719983,"manufacturer":"General Motors, LLC","crash":false,"fire":false,"numberOfInjuries":0,"numberOfDeaths":0,"dateOfIncident":"11/23/2025","dateComplaintFiled":"02/23/2026","vin":"1GT12SEG2GF","components":"ELECTRICAL SYSTEM","summary":"The contact owns a 2016 GMC Sierra 2500. I took it about 5 miles to Matlock Tire in Lenior City Tn. But by this time the tread was cracking and separating. I was able to get a used tire to bring vehicle home. The service person at Matlock Tire advised me to replace all the tires. If one did it they probably all are bad.The tires have been very well cared for. They have 7/32 tread across all the tires. Very even ware. No dry rot. They had been rotated and inspected at McKenny Chevy in Gastonia NC aweek earlier. I had just come through the mountains on route 40 and if the tire had let go it could have been catastrophic. The DOT tire number is from one of the other tires on truck.
