The warnings included Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Parking Collision Warning, and multiple other system alerts. At the same time, I experienced a loss of electric power steering assist, increased steering resistance, and clicking/popping noises coming from the steering rack. The Honda dealer diagnosed the vehicle with a failed Electric Power Steering (EPS) steering rack and quoted nearly $5,000 for the repair. A critical steering component should not fail at such low mileage. This is a serious safety concern because the failure affects the driver's ability to safely control the vehicle. Similar steering components have been recalled on other Honda models, but the 2023 Honda Accord has not been included. I believe this defect should be investigated before it results in crashes or injuries.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2023","productMake":"HONDA","productModel":"ACCORD","manufacturer":"Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)"}]},{"odiNumber":11751783,"manufacturer":"Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)","crash":false,"fire":false,"numberOfInjuries":0,"numberOfDeaths":0,"dateOfIncident":"07/02/2026","dateComplaintFiled":"07/21/2026","vin":"1HGCY2F57PA","components":"POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM","summary":"While driving my 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid, the vehicle suddenly displayed multiple warning messages, including a Check Engine Light, and immediately entered limp mode. Engine power was significantly reduced, making it difficult to accelerate and safely keep up with surrounding traffic. This unexpected loss of power created a potential safety hazard because the vehicle could not respond normally to throttle input. The vehicle was diagnosed by an authorized Honda dealership. The dealer confirmed Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P2101 and determined that the throttle body assembly had failed. The throttle body assembly and gasket were replaced, and a software update was also performed before the vehicle could be safely driven again. I paid approximately $670.34 for the repair at the Honda dealership. After researching this issue, I found reports from other owners of recent Honda Accord Hybrid vehicles experiencing similar P2101 throttle body failures resulting in limp mode. I am submitting this complaint because an unexpected throttle body failure that causes a vehicle to enter limp mode while driving may present a safety risk, especially if it occurs in traffic or during highway driving. I believe this issue should be reviewed to determine whether it affects additional vehicles.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2023","productMake":"HONDA","productModel":"ACCORD","manufacturer":"Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)"}]},{"odiNumber":11748997,"manufacturer":"Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)","crash":false,"fire":false,"numberOfInjuries":0,"numberOfDeaths":0,"dateOfIncident":"12/31/1969","dateComplaintFiled":"07/08/2026","vin":"1HGCY2F75PA","components":"LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE","summary":"The car has continually asked to to be updated through the driver control center screen. This is consistent with the recall defect, which states the ICM CPU can reset while the vehicle is in operation, causing the vehicle to lose drive power and increasing the risk of a crash. This occurred at highway speed with other vehicles present, creating an immediate danger. Dealer Confirmation: I have visited an authorized Honda dealership twice regarding this recall \u2014 once upon receiving the recall notification in November 2025, and again in January 2026 during a scheduled oil change. On both occasions, the dealer confirmed the recall was on file for my vehicle but stated they did not have the software or equipment available to perform the remedy. Inspections by Other Parties: The vehicle has not been inspected by police, insurance representatives, or other outside parties in connection with this issue. THE DEALERSHIP CLASSIC HONDA REFUSED TO DO ANY REAL INVESTIGATION AND IS RELYING SOLELY ON THE DIPSTICK READING. THIS CLEARLY VIOLATES ME IN PLENTY OF WAYS THIS IS WHAT I SENT THEM. I am formally escalating this matter and requesting immediate supervisory review and intervention regarding the inspection and handling of my 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid. The dealership is relying solely on a dipstick reading taken from an engine with a breached engine block. Once the engine block is compromised, the crankcase is no longer sealed, and oil redistributes into different internal cavities and passages. Under these conditions, a dipstick reading is not a reliable or valid method to determine pre-failure oil quantity or causation. I specifically requested that the oil pan drain plug be removed so the oil could be measured directly, which would provide an accurate and objective assessment of oil quantity. This request was refused. I was told, verbatim, that the dealership would not touch the vehicle any further. This refusal to perform a basic, non-destructive verification step, while continuing to rely on an unreliable post-failure dipstick reading, is not consistent with proper diagnostic procedure or good-faith warranty investigation. At this point, I am requesting: Immediate supervisory review of this case Assignment of a qualified Honda representative or supervisor to oversee a proper inspection Documentation explaining why a direct oil measurement was refused Confirmation that the vehicle and all components remain preserved for further review I am not asking for speculation or opinion. All dashboard warning lights will flash at random times. When I take the vehicle to the dealership (Bell Honda), the problem disappears before it can be diagnosed. On September 27, 2025, and again on September 28, 2025, the vehicle completely stopped and shut off while I was driving. It would not restart. The hazard lights were stuck on and could not be turned off. This left me stranded and in a dangerous situation. After approximately 2-3 minutes, the vehicle was able to restart, but numerous warning lights remained illuminated on the dashboard. I had the vehicle tested with a diagnostic tool at an AutoZone, but no apparent issues were found in the system. Additional Information: This is an ongoing and unresolved safety issue that Honda has failed to address. This electrical problem, which causes the vehicle to shut down unexpectedly, is a significant safety hazard. This issue is in addition to another ongoing problem with the remote start system, which Honda has refused to diagnose and fix. Consequences and Concerns: The unexpected shutdown of the vehicle while in operation is extremely dangerous and could lead to a serious accident. The inability to use hazard lights properly further increases the risk to myself and other drivers. After I set up my hondalink and free att wifi(which wifi is on my phone), I went to Honda dealer I bought from and another local technician to speak to them about my phone tethered settings being on no file transfer. At both locations I was told my car does not update through my phone, they looked for a wifi connection in my car, and then asked to see my phone. I thought a recent update had made my engine go to 4rpms without switching gears. I was told where I bought it at that this was not on my cars computer and it did not happen. I have contacted Honda Corp to be told the same that the car does not update through my phone. Hondalink has a locator and engine updates were applied to my car at 8pm on Friday night in my driveway. Bluetooth does not have enough strength to install engine updates.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2023","productMake":"HONDA","productModel":"ACCORD","manufacturer":"Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)"}]},{"odiNumber":11523030,"manufacturer":"Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)","crash":false,"fire":false,"numberOfInjuries":0,"numberOfDeaths":0,"dateOfIncident":"05/20/2023","dateComplaintFiled":"05/20/2023","vin":"1HGCY1F31PA","components":"ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE","summary":"On 5.20.23, performed required remote system update for 2023 Honda Accord EX (gas) with 3,410 miles on it.
