It does not even have 3000 miles on it, and the paint is peeling. The color is Crystal Black Pearl, and even though outdoor elements are removed from the vehicle immediately, the car is still experiencing paint damage. The paint is cracking and peeling off in multiple areas where outside elements have hit it (tree sap, bird poop, pollen, etc.), the damage is still occurring even if removed immediately. Honda will not honor their paint defect warranty, as they claim this is environmental damage that would not be covered under their paint defect warranty. I was informed that their paint warranty only covers events where the paint is bubbling and cracking from under the paint, or rust is occurring. This defect is happening on a new vehicle, whereas older modeled black vehicles at the same residence, who leaves these environmental elements on the cars longer than I, do not experience the same damage in the slightest. Another vehicle within the same household that was purchased at the same Honda Dealership, about 2 months prior to my purchase, same environment/neighborhood/outside exposure, just different make (CRV) and color (blue) and isn't experiencing paint damage like this black crystal pearl color on the HR-V.
