Specific safety-related incidents:  On multiple occasions, the vehicle's forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and Auto Hold have all intermittently and simultaneously disabled themselves while driving, with no warning and no ability to re-enable them except by fully powering the vehicle off and on, or disconnecting the 12V battery. While driving, the ABS warning light illuminated, indicating that the anti-lock braking system required service. At the same time, the vehicle became noticeably more difficult to stop, requiring increased braking distance and significantly earlier brake application than normal. The failed component is currently at the dealership and is available for inspection. The illuminated ABS warning also disabled several advanced driver assistance features, including the collision avoidance and automatic emergency braking systems. As a result, important safety features designed to help prevent or mitigate collisions were unavailable while the warning lights were present. This malfunction created a significant safety risk to me, my passengers, and other motorists. On multiple occasions, the vehicle required substantially more distance to stop, increasing the risk of a rear-end collision, particularly if another driver stopped suddenly or cut in front of my vehicle. Because the collision avoidance and assisted braking systems were also disabled, there was no electronic backup available to help reduce the risk of an accident. The vehicle has been inspected by the selling dealership, where technicians confirmed the problem after the vehicle failed two separate diagnostic tests. The vehicle remains at the dealership awaiting replacement parts and repair. It has now been out of service longer than I have actually been able to drive it since purchasing it. The ABS warning light and related service messages appeared before the braking performance deteriorated. To the best of my knowledge, no crash or injuries occurred, but the defect significantly increased stopping distance and created an unsafe driving condition. Based on the dealer's diagnosis, the issue has been confirmed and is awaiting repair.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2025","productMake":"JEEP","productModel":"WAGONEER S","manufacturer":"Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)"}]},{"odiNumber":11746806,"manufacturer":"Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)","crash":false,"fire":false,"numberOfInjuries":0,"numberOfDeaths":0,"dateOfIncident":"06/20/2026","dateComplaintFiled":"06/26/2026","vin":"3C4RJNCK8ST","components":"SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE","summary":"The vehicle's automatic emergency braking (AEB) / forward collision avoidance system activates without cause and brings the vehicle to a sudden, complete stop in the middle of an intersection. The system falsely interpreted the opposing left-turning vehicle as an imminent frontal collision, displayed a \"crash detected\" message, and applied full braking, stopping my vehicle in live cross-traffic in the middle of the intersection.  The first occurrence was on XXX, at the intersection of [XXX], while I was turning left from [XXX] [XXX]. The second occurrence was on XXX, at the intersection of [XXX], while turning left from [XXX] onto [XXX]. Both intersections are equipped with dual (two) opposing left-turn lanes, and in each case the false activation occurred as oncoming traffic in the opposing left-turn lanes was simultaneously turning left. After years of driving gas-powered vehicles, I decided to transition to an electric vehicle and purchased a Jeep Wagoneer S. While the vehicle is visually impressive, my ownership experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.  Since the purchase, the vehicle has experienced ongoing and severe mechanical issues. It has spent more time at the dealership than in my garage. I have worked with multiple service departments and communicated with several representatives from Stellantis, repeatedly warning that this vehicle poses a serious safety risk and could result in injury or worse.  The primary issue is extremely dangerous: the vehicle will unexpectedly surge forward with force and then abruptly lose all battery power. Despite being repaired approximately 8 to 10 times, the problem continues to recur. Multiple technicians, engineers, and even an investigator have attempted to diagnose and fix the issue, all without success.  A few weeks ago, I experienced what I believe could have been a fatal incident. At approximately 5:15 a.m., while driving on the highway near the 121 and 635 merge in Grapevine, the vehicle failed completely. It was still dark, and traffic was moving at speeds exceeding 80 mph. Unfortunately, the vehicle has been in the service department for nearly five of those six months due to persistent and serious mechanical and electronic issues that have yet to be resolved, despite multiple attempts by the dealership and manufacturer.  The most alarming issue is that the vehicle frequently stalls and then abruptly lurches forward, simulating the feeling of being rear-ended. This issue presents a significant safety risk not only to myself but to other drivers and pedestrians. I strongly believe this vehicle is unsafe to drive in its current condition.  In addition, the onboard camera system activates randomly while driving. While this may not pose an immediate danger, it is yet another sign of the vehicle\u2019s erratic and unreliable behavior.  The dealership has sent out multiple engineers to inspect and diagnose the problem, but none of these efforts have resulted in a permanent fix. The defects remain unresolved, and the vehicle continues to be unsafe and undependable. I have made it clear that I no longer wish to have this vehicle returned to me, as I believe it is inherently defective.  What is especially troubling is that despite being aware of these recurring safety issues, Stellantis continues to sell this model to new customers \u2014 effectively placing more unsuspecting drivers at risk. This incident placed both myself and surrounding drivers in immediate danger. The vehicle is currently at the dealership service department for inspection, and I have reported this issue. I tried to shut it off in an effort to reset the systems but the vehicle would not shut down no matter what I did.  Tried multiple times and it sat there with the charging in use indications and would not respond to any driver inputs.  With no choice I exited the vehicle to go and get some assistance but the vehicle (currently on) would not lock the doors.  As a result I stayed with the vehicle until it changed its status or I was able to get a tow truck.  Approximately 35 minutes later the system reset itself and I was able to drive it straight to the dealer where they captured 22 fault codes.  The vehicle has been at the dealer since 16 May with 1395 miles on it, we purchased it 28 April new from the local dealer.  It left me stranded and unsecure putting me at undue risk.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2025","productMake":"JEEP","productModel":"WAGONEER S","manufacturer":"Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)"}]},{"odiNumber":11661867,"manufacturer":"Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)","crash":false,"fire":false,"numberOfInjuries":0,"numberOfDeaths":0,"dateOfIncident":"04/24/2025","dateComplaintFiled":"05/19/2025","vin":"3C4RJNCK7ST","components":"STEERING","summary":"Steering very loose, even in sport setting.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2025","productMake":"JEEP","productModel":"WAGONEER S","manufacturer":"Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)"}]}]}
