I noticed the smell of smoke inside the school bus, upon further investigation, I opened the hood and noticed smoke rising from the positive electrical \"pass Through\" 12-volt connector on the driver side. apparently, the connector insulator failed and was shorting to the body and was getting extremely hot and could cause a fire. the connector on the inside of the bus, under the dash, was blackened from the heat. i have a photo of it. I took the bus out of service and notified LION Bus about the problem, they ordered parts and sent a technician out to repair it. I have a video of the smoking connector.  This issue could cause a School Bus fire.  I will try to send the photos and video.  If I cannot send them please reach out with a good e-mail address to send them.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2024","productMake":"LION","productModel":"LIONC","manufacturer":"Lion Electric Company"}]},{"odiNumber":11642408,"manufacturer":"Lion Electric Company","crash":false,"fire":false,"numberOfInjuries":0,"numberOfDeaths":0,"dateOfIncident":"02/12/2025","dateComplaintFiled":"02/13/2025","vin":"7TFCP2747RT","components":"ELECTRICAL SYSTEM","summary":"Front heater fan smelling of smoke","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2024","productMake":"LION","productModel":"LIONC","manufacturer":"Lion Electric Company"}]}]}
