They told me to keep driving until they researched the problem and that my vehicle would not leave me on side of the road. Approximately 2 weeks later is when it displayed another warning light, right before shutting off completely on the above date and having me stopped, not on the side of the road, but worse, at a red light busy intersection off a highway ramp. I found out by the dealership that my vehicle issue is part of an active DC/DC converter recall. My husband and I had to pay for the costly repairs, towing and have been out of a vehicle, with no loaner for over a month. The engine shut off and all electronic systems failed simultaneously, including the instrument cluster and all interior lighting. Most critically, the hazard lights were inoperable, leaving the vehicle invisible to high-speed traffic during the failure. Since I was traveling at highway speeds I was able to safely glide the vehicle to the center shoulder. After approximately 10\u201315 minutes, the dashboard, infotainment, and climate control systems began flickering intermittently before power temporarily returned. Upon attempting to re-enter traffic to reach an exit, the vehicle stalled a second time while in motion. I returned to the shoulder again. After another 10 minutes the vehicle started and I was eventually able to exit the freeway and reach my residence. The following morning, the vehicle was completely unresponsive and would not start. It was towed to Land Rover Santa Monica dealership on March 6, 2026, where it currently remains for diagnosis and repair.   This incident on the 405 freeway marks the third occurrence of a total loss of propulsion and electrical failure while the vehicle was in motion. Despite previous repair attempts, the defect persists, rendering the vehicle fundamentally unsafe for operation. I am gravely concerned for my personal safety, as well as the safety of other motorists on public streets and highways. A vehicle that spontaneously stalls at high speeds\u2014while simultaneously losing the ability to activate hazard lights\u2014presents an unacceptable risk of a high-speed rear-end collision. Despite multiple dealership visits, warranty repairs, and part replacements (including the driveshaft and oil separator). On [XXX], I experienced the same event, though luckily there was no car in front. These events are frightening and dangerous. We no longer feel safe driving this vehicle. I am concerned about the long term effects water damage will have on the electrical system - electrical issues are extremely dangerous safety issues. Water damage will also cause rust and corrosion. The leaking windshield issue in Range Rover Evoque cars is a known problem to Jaguar Land Rover North America. A Technical Bulletin was issued about the problem on 11/6/18, and an After Sales Bulletin/Service Action N221 issued on 3/23/20. The leaking windshield issue is also discussed in many Range Rover Evoque online forums. There are many consumers who have leaking windshields in their Range Rover Evoques.  Both the 2018 and 2020 bulletins instructed dealers \u201cto HOLD affected new vehicles that are within your control and refrain from releasing the vehicles for new vehicle sale pending completion of the rework action. Affected vehicles already in the hands of customers should be updated at the next available opportunity.\" Jaguar Land Rover North America knew about the issue with leaking windshields, and they were still building cars with the defect and having their dealers sell the cars without disclosing the issue to buyers. I would not have purchased this car if the problem was disclosed. Extensive water damage inside a car is a serious safety issue. When starting to drive the car from start up or at a stop the car will slip out of gear and I will get a beeping noise and a message  that states:\"Engage gear before maneuvering.\" Sometimes the car will stay illuminated in drive mode but really be in neutral as it will rev but not move. In those cases I will shift into park and then back into drive and the car will move again. Recently the car will act the same way only stall out requiring me to restart the car and shift it into drive mode. This seems to happen most often when it is very hot outside and the car's auto start/stop function is on. During the winter months my secondary battery would be low on power and the auto start/stop function would not engage. During those times I do not recall experiencing this issue. In fact my main battery has been very low and required a trickle charge at home. This was illustrated by my hatch not opening or the car giving me a message prior to start up that the battery was low. Of course that was never a safety issue, the problem above is. Last night my wife and I were leaving were stopped at  light  on a 6 lane state highway. As I came to a stop in the center lane the car suddenly started beeping the engage gear message flashed and the car stalled. I tried as quickly as possible to re-start the car and put it into gear. Several maneuvered around us. One car almost hit us from behind and at a high rate of speed by swerved around us. THE CONTACT MENTIONED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V517000 (TIRES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), 19V421000 (VISIBILITY) AS POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO THE FAILURES HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE.
