Upon my return, I experienced the exact same issue-the driver\u2019s door would not open.   5.On March 16th, 2026, I returned the vehicle to Lexus service department for further evaluation.  This repeated inconvenience has been time-consuming and frustrating.  As this is a luxury vehicle.  6.On March 18, 2026, I was notified that my vehicle was ready for pickup and was told the issue was related to the door bezel.  Upon retrieving my vehicle, I immediately noticed that the driver\u2019s door lock was visibly missing.  I returned to the service department and documented the issue with photographs.  I was then informed that the driver\u2019s door panel would need to be replaced.  Later that same evening, while attempting to refuel my vehicle, I encountered difficulty opening the fuel door.  I again heard the same rattling and popping sound extending toward the gas tank. March 2021 (60k miles): Actuator was replaced under warranty for this exact failure.  December 2021 (74k miles): The failure recurred. February 2026 (110k miles): A Lexus dealer confirmed the part is failing again and quoted $3,000 for replacement.  Despite a manufacturer program (CSP 23LE04) existing for this exact part, Lexus refuses to honor it without an electronic code, even though the mechanical failure has been physically confirmed by their own technicians. Defect Confirmed by Dealership Service Staff: Dealership staff confirmed that the driver and passenger seats heat at different rates. This matches a known defect identified in Lexus Technical Service Information Bulletin L-SB-0038-18 (Oct 10, 2018). Additionally, they confirmed that the drivers' seat spikes to uncontrolled high temperatures, even on the \"LOW\" setting. Despite this, the dealership refused to repair the issue without an extended warranty and suggested using a sheepskin seat cover to prevent further burns, which is prohibited in the vehicle manual. At this point I question as to whether the repair was actually made. If in fact replaced, I am shocked by the lack of quality in a repair that was to have fixed a serious issue. Driving a car when you cannot open the door is not something I recommend to anyone! I have called Lexus National customer service and they have opened a case. The Toyota 2GR-FKS 3.5L V-6 engine in this vehicle is known to leak in this area due to the gasket mating surfaces in the area mentioned above not sealing completely requiring silicone RTV caulk to be installed during engine assembly. If this is not done correctly leaks occur. Lexus refuses to make good on this saying the car is out of warranty. About the car: This car has never been in an accident, non-smoker, always garaged (no sun/heat exposure) driven in the city with no dust or debris in the cabin (exceptionally clean inside and out) 33,500 miles at time of cleaning (photos attached). It was a great thing that we purchased the extended warranty at Carmax called the Max Care which I only had to pay a $100 co-pay. Amazing! It took about 2 days to have this completed. Now, the chirping sound has disappeared when I press the brakes and when the parking brake is applied.    I truly believe that this should be a Recall by Lexus and be covered. It shouldn't matter how many miles the customer has. This is a safety issue. The brake actuator shouldn't fail this soon. Sounded like it came from overhead and then I observed that no other car seemed to have slowed or was affected.  I put on my hazard lights and drove a 1/2 mile or so until I could safely pull over. As I'm driving I can hear over my head rumbling and the wind as if the sunroof was open - but I hadn't opened it.  When I was able to get out and take a look the closed sunroof had shattered outward - it reminded me of a volcano pattern.  Left my hazards on, got unto local roads and drove car to dealer - Ray Catena Lexus of White Plains, where we purchased the automobile.  Service told me something must have hit me at the right angle.  They could find no debris besides broken glass in the sunroof compartment.    I was shaken and went through the process of figuring out a loaner and cost to repair.  Upon my return home I spoke to my husband and we realized it just didn't make sense.  We started doing research and discovered that the Toyota corporation may well be aware of these incidents, they've been happening to different models of Lexus cars/SUVs for years - different models all over the country.  In California there is currently a class action suit against the corporation.  I'm thankful I was driving and not my daughter and that I had the presence of mind not to lose control of the car or open the soft inside cover of the sunroof.  This needs to be investigated, Toyota makes many different model cars, trucks, SUVs and this is unacceptable. ON FEBRUARY 16, 2018, I RECEIVED A TEXT FROM THE DEALERSHIP THAT THERE WAS A SOFTWARE UPGRADE OUT FOR THE LOW BRAKE PRESSURE. I RETURNED THE CAR TO THE DEALER. ON 2/21/2018, I RECEIVED A TEXT FROM THE DEALER STATING THE CAR IS READY FOR PICKUP.  THE WORKORDER SIMPLY STATED \"TECHNICIAN PERFORMED TSB# L-SB-0004-18\".  THE SERVICE CONSULTANT WOULD NOT EXPLAIN WHAT THE TSB WAS FIXING OR HOW IT REMEDIED THE PROBLEM. I CONTACTED LEXUS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY SAID THE  TSB UPGRADED THE METER CONTROL LOGIC UNIT.  ONGOING PROBLEM: IF THE CAR SITS FOR MORE THAN 1 DAY, THE BRAKE PEDAL MUST BE DEPRESSED WITH MUCH FORCE BEFORE THE CAR IS ABLE TO START.  THIS INDICATES THE BRAKE BOOSTER IS STILL LOSING PRESSURE. CONCERN: IF THE BRAKE BOOSTER LOSES PRESSURE WHILE SITTING IN THE GARAGE FOR MORE THAN A DAY, WILL IT FAIL ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE DRIVING. HE SHARED THEY JUST DID THREE OF THESE REPAIRS IN THE PAST SEVERAL WEEKS AND TOLD ME THE REPAIR WOULD COST AROUND $5,400. HE CONTINUED TO EXPLAIN THAT THIS WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PUT A CLAIM THROUGH ON MY INSURANCE.    AFTER TWO DAYS HE CAME BACK AND CONFIRMED A \"SPIDER INFESTATION.\" I QUESTIONED HIM SINCE I FOUND THIS WHOLE SCENARIO ODD.  HE TOLD ME HE DIDN'T HAVE AN EXACT NUMBER BUT THAT THE DEALERSHIP HAD PREVIOUSLY PERFORMED BETWEEN 15 AND 20 OF THESE REPAIRS AND THAT TO PREVENT A RECURRENCE THEY WOULD FIT THE DRAIN PLUG WITH A SPECIAL INSECT REPELLANT TIP.    I CONSIDERED THIS A REOCCURRING ISSUE THAT LEXUS WAS AWARE OF AND THAT THEY HAD A FIX FOR SO I DID NOT WANT TO PUT AN INSURANCE CLAIM IN AND RISK A RATE INCREASE. I THEN ESCALATED THE ISSUE WITH LEXUS CORPORATE AND THEY SIDED WITH THE DEALER SAYING IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT THAT THEY WOULD COVER MY COMPREHENSIVE DEDUCTIBLE (WHICH THEY DID).    AFTER BACK AND FORTH WITH MY INSURANCE COMPANY THEY FINALLY APPROVED THE CLAIM (THEY INITIALLY DIDN'T WANT TO COVER THE DEALERSHIPS LABOR RATES).
