The contact stated that while driving 50 MPH, two of the passenger's side windows detached and started flapping against the RV wall. The contact veered to the side of the road, and duct taped the windows to the side of the RV. The contact drove to the Camping lot; however, while the RV was parked, he heard an abnormal sound. The contact noticed that one of the windows that was duct taped had separated and fell onto the ground. The vehicle was taken a local dealer, where it was determined that the windows needed to be replaced. The RV was not repaired. The Freightliner manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the Thor manufacturer. The Thor manufacturer was notified and informed the contact that there was no recall related to the failure. A FINE SPRAY OF RAW FUEL WAS SPRAYING DIRECTLY ONTO THE DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER (DPF). THE DPF WHEN IN REGENERATION MODE CAN REACH TEMPERATURES OF UP TO 500 DEGREE F. FORTUNATELY, THE EXHAUST SYSTEM WAS COLD AT START UP, BUT HAD IT BEEN IN RUNNING FOR A WHILE AND  WENT INTO IN REGENERATION MODE, A FIRE COULD HAVE RESULTED CONSIDERING THE FINE MIST THAT WAS BEING SPRAYED ONTO THE EXHAUST. I IMMEDIATELY REMOVE AND REPLACED THE FILTER THE NEXT DAY. UNFORTIONATELY I DID NOT RETAIN THE DEFECTIVE FILTER.
