The contact stated that while driving at various speeds on two separate occasions, the contact observed excessive vertical movement in the pin box/fifth-wheel hitch assembly. Upon pulling to a gas station and inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the mounting screws under the fifth wheel holding the fiberglass had ripped through the fiberglass. The RV was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a fractured frame. The RV was repaired, but the failure recurred approximately 18 months later. The RV was inspected by an independent mobile technician; however, a definitive diagnosis was currently pending.
