I realized when I was sitting on the motorcycle in my driveway,  with the front brake holding the motorcycle, that the brake light wasn\u2019t illuminated. As I began to test it I realized I was able to have the bike come to a complete stop without the brake light illuminating when using only the front brake lever.   The motorcycle was purchased brand new and braking system has not been modified. I only had 300 miles on vehicle when this was discovered. I brought it to a Yamaha dealer as suggested in the manual if the light is not illuminating before braking pressure had been applied. The service mechanic at Donnelson Cycles in St Louis MO stated that this braking switch could not be adjusted. I searched for recalls and could not find any.   This could cause a major hazard for someone especially if they are stopped using the front brake lever and the vehicle behind them does not know they are stopped or slowing.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2023","productMake":"YAMAHA","productModel":"MT-09","manufacturer":"Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA"}]}]}
