These are unpredictable loss-of-control events that create a serious crash risk in traffic. I believe this relates to a known issue affecting the GM 8-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle is currently at a GM dealer and I have an open GM Customer Care case. I added 3 quarts of oil and the dipstick still showed no reading, indicating the engine had been operating with a critically low or empty oil level. Throughout this entire event, no oil-pressure warning activated. There was no external oil leak, no puddle where the vehicle is normally parked, and no oil in the coolant reservoir, which suggests the oil was being consumed or lost internally rather than dripping out \u2014 a condition the driver cannot see or anticipate without a functioning warning system. Drivers depend entirely on the oil-pressure warning system to alert them before oil starvation causes catastrophic engine damage or sudden engine seizure. An engine that seizes without warning while the vehicle is in motion creates an immediate and severe crash risk \u2014 sudden loss of motive power in traffic, on a highway, or in an intersection. The complete failure of this warning system to illuminate during a total loss of oil is, by itself, a safety defect independent of whatever is causing the oil loss, because it removes the driver's only opportunity to stop the vehicle safely before failure. During this time at the dealership, they thought the problem was fixed, where again blew out all the oil while driving. Finally received the truck back. Check engine lights were still on but truck was holding oil and driving decent.  Truck was doing fine until Monday February 16th. I was at a job and was driving home to finish the day. Again on the highway at highway speeds, truck goes into safe mode and limp it to gas station to again be empty on oil. It is still sitting there.   Just last January the truck needed a new Transmission at 48,000 miles and at the same time a wirinig harness for the back-up camera needed replaced. Alot of things have been going wrong with this truck to be so new. Windows don't always go down  Part has been on order may still waiting Aug 11, 2024 3. Recently truck won't start battery dead. Going to take in tomorrow. I reached out to gm due to chevy dealer said they are the only ones that can fix issue. That didn't work either. I still have a brand new deg Effective truck. Don't know what else to do. Lawyer says to take it in 2 more times then they can start a case. They returned the vehicle to us, unable to repair the issue and the GM technical engineer told them to just turn off all of the safety features in the console and that I would have to make sure they were turned off before driving the vehicle every time or if it lost power.  They turned off the emergency braking controls with this action.  Asked me to also adjust the gap to mid for object detection.  They replaced the front camera with the recall and it still did not fix the issue.  They told me that my truck does not have adaptive cruise control but the devices were acting like I did.  I don't know if this is true or it is just another excuse. The truck has been in the dealership with attempts to repair 4 times, the third attempt took a month and within 2 hours of pickup it started again. 4th attempt, 20 mins after pickup auto collision system was going off as usual.  Now I have errors on the dash to service the driver assist system and the side warning mirror lights no longer work.  Someone is going to get killed. There are forum conversations where people are driving on the highway going 80 and the brakes engaged for no reason.  GM is well aware of all of the issues with my vehicle as I have been in communication as well as the dealership. The dealership told me another person bought a similar truck and had / has the same problem. GM refuses to purchase this truck back even though they know this is unsafe and want me to continue to try to have it fixed.  I have a ton of documents to support this but when I click to upload nothing happens to allow files to be attached. To fix this, I have to move the turn signal shifter back to the left turn position to get the shifter unstuck then it will allow me to move the turn signal shifter back upwards to the right turn position. I have been on the highway and unable to use my right turn signal to change lanes which is extremely dangerous. I am worried that it will cause an accident or that I will get a ticket for not using my turn signal. I have a video of the issue occuring, but the video is 25 MB. The issue occurs every time I drive but not 100% of the time when I try to use the right turn signal.
