I started the car again and run around three different errands without having further issues. I checked online to see if other owners had experienced a similar situation, which is the case. One person said that there had been two recalls in 2011 and 2013, both related to the inverter module inside the hybrid system. Although, I called today a Lexus dealership, [XXX], located in [XXX], and I was told there are no recalls for the VIN number that I provided. Another owner said she/he went to a Lexus dealer in [XXX] and she was told it was a defect in the gutter drainage design and that water gets into the hybrid system. This is a dangerous and potentially catastrophic situation if the vehicle suddenly shuts down on a freeway/highway putting passengers in risk of harm, injury, or death.  This is a horrific defect which Lexus should correct immediately with a recall before one of us ends up at the cementery. I spoke to Corporate and they told me they won't do anything for me and there's no higher ups and they won't refund my money. Shame on you. I'm demanding a full refund. This needs to be corrected for the cars out there that are still experiencing this problem. My dealership told me they had more cars coming in for the same repair. Sounds alot like Lexus is getting richer on an 800 dollar part. Don't even tell me it's labor intensified. My car was done is 2 hours. THROUGH RESEARCH AND A TIP FROM THE FIRST AUTO SHOP THAT THERE IS A LIMITED-SERVICE CAMPAIGN FOR THIS DEFECTIVE PART AND LEXUS EVEN EXTENDED THE CAMPAIGN THROUGH DECEMBER 2021.  I AM RELIEVED THAT IT WILL BE COVERED JUST AS IT SHOULD BY LEXUS.  I GET A CALL FROM LEXUS THEY ARE NOT COVERING IT, BECAUSE MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE EXTENSION OF THE CAMPAIGN,  EVEN THOUGH, MY CAR HAS THE DEFECTIVE PART.  MY CAR IS PART OF THAT MANUFACTURING LINE THAT HAD THE DEFECTIVE PART PUT IN.  PLEASE HAVE LEXUS EXPAND THEIR VEHICLES TO INCLUDE ALL 07-08 LEXUS RX 350'S FOR THE LIMITED-SERVICE CAMPAIGN AS IT IS STILL A PROBLEM IN THOSE VEHICLES REGARDLESS OF THE VIN.  THAT IS WHY THEY GAVE THE EXTENSION OF THE LIMITED-SERVICE-CAMPAIGN BECAUSE LEXUS AND TOYOTA KNOW IT IS STILL A PROBLEM FOR LEXUS AND TOYOTA OWNERS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A WARRANTY EXTENSION FOR THE ABS, BUT IT EXPIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE CAR HAS NO DAMAGE TO THE UNDERCARRIAGE INDICATING THIS COULD NOT BE THE CAUSE. THE MECHANIC REPORTS A DEFECT IN THE OIL LINE/PUMP, IT CRACKED AND SHOULD NOT HAVE. THEY ARE REPORTING A VERY LARGE LEAK THAT WOULD HAVE OCCURRED THUS DAMAGING THE ENTIRE ENGINE VERY QUICKLY. WITH A RUPTURE OF THIS MAGNITUDE NO OIL TO THE ENGINE, THE ENGINE WILL BE IRREPARABLY DAMAGED, YOU CANNOT JUST REPLACE . YOU CANNOT REPAIR SUCH A MASSIVE OIL LEAK WITHOUT WARNING BECAUSE THE DAMAGE CAN BE DONE IMMEDIATELY WITH SUCH A SEVERE LOSS SO SUDDENLY. I NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE REGARDING THIS ISSUE. FOR SOME REASON FROM 2007 TO 2011 THIS PART WAS NOT RECALLED AND STILL HAS THE RUBBER HOSE OIL LINE ON IT.  IT COSTED ME SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS TO REPLACE THIS PART AND COULD OF DESTROYED MY ENGINE AS WELL OR AT LEAST LIMITED THE ENGINE LIFE SINCE IT WAS WITHOUT OIL FOR A COUPLE MILES.  I'M CONCERNED THAT IT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND LEAKED OIL ON THE ROAD TO THE POINT OF MY VEHICLE BEING EMPTY AND COULD OF SEIZED UP MY ENGINE AS WELL WHICH BOTH ARE SAFETY CONCERNS AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES. POL-14-02 (NHTSA NUMBER 10056509) WAS ISSUED IN JULY 2014 TO FIX THIS DANGEROUS DEFECT THAT PUTS DRIVERS AT RISK, WHEN A RECALL MAY HAVE BEEN WARRANTED. WE WERE NEVER NOTIFIED BY LEXUS OR THE DEALER THAT THIS WAS A POTENTIAL ISSUE. ONCE OFF ROAD, I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP, WHO IS OPEN SATURDAYS UNTIL 3 PM AND IT WAS APPROXIMATELY 2:30 PM. I WAS TOLD THAT IF ALL THE LIGHTS WENT OFF AND THE CAR STARTED THAT I COULD DRIVE IT HOME.  THAT IS WHAT HAPPENED.  I MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THAT MONDAY WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH THE DEALER SO THAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE CHECKED OUT.  IT TURNS OUT THAT THIS MODULE, WHEN HEATED UP TO HIGH TEMPERATURE, CAN FAIL BY THE SOLDERING CONTACTS OPENING AND THE POWER THEREBY FAILING.  THIS IS THE PROBLEM THAT THE 2013 RECALL WAS SUPPOSED TO CORRECT.  HOW DO I KNOW THAT THIS NEW MODULE WILL NOT FAIL AGAIN WITHOUT WARNING?  LEXUS ABSORBED THE LABOR ON THE MODULE REPLACEMENT BUT CLAIMED THE PART (WHICH WAS THE RECALL PART INSTALLED TO CURE THE RECALL PROBLEM IN 2013) WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AND WOULD NOT ABSORB THE ENTIRE REPAIR COST.    I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS OCCURRED WITH THIS MODULE SINCE THE 2013 RECALL OR IF OTHERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS AND MAYBE THERE SHOULD BE ANOTHER RECALL. I LOOKED DOWN AT THE BRAKE/ACCELERATOR PEDALS AND THOUGH BOTH OF MY FEET WERE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE WAS STILL TRYING TO MOVE FORWARD. I SHIFTED THE VEHICLE INTO PARK AND THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO TRY TO LURCH FORWARD, SO I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE.
