I reached out to Mazda Corp with case # [XXX] and MAZDA Corp denied financial assistance, but stated I could work with the dealership to trade my vehicle instead of fixing the issue. When the tires are properly mounted with the word \u201coutside\u201d viewable on the outside of all 4 wheels and the vehicle is rolling forward, the 2 above referenced treads\u2019 slots of the right side tires will force water away from the treads and into the adjacent troughs, but these same tread slots on the left side tires, now spun 180 degrees when mounted on the left side, will force water toward the center of the two above referenced treads, actually building up water upon the referenced treads\u2019 surfaces, not dispersing it like on the right side tires. On wet roads, this will dangerously set up the likelihood of hydroplaning on the referenced left side treads, as well as a surface grabbing imbalance between the right and left side tires which sets things up for a spin out. When viewing the mounted tires, the above safety concerns are easy to envision. They appear to pose a risk for an accident, but Pirelli states that their tires are \u201cengineered with advanced tread patterns that balance performance, safety, and comfort\u201d and the tires are properly mounted as described.  I have no data indicating that actual issues have been confirmed with my concerns, but I feel they are valid and that this asymmetrical tire should have also been designed and marketed as a directional tire, with left and right mirrored tread designs, which it has not been. The running shoes were thicker and wider than I normally wear while driving. I then noticed a car coming toward me and swerved to the right back toward the parking lot, crossing over the curb at that parking spot, and slamming into a parked car and side swiping a truck.  I only took my foot off the brake when the car stopped. The airbags did not deploy. After the car stopped, I was unable to turn the engine off.    When I returned home, I looked on line to see if anyone else had reported a similar experience.  Apparently there have been a number of similar occurrences with Mazda CX-5s (see https://www.carproblemzoo.com/mazda/cx-5/car-accelerates-on-its-own-problems.php) including a description of almost the same event with a car that also had low mileage.  In several of the cases listed, the airbags likewise did not deploy.    Note also that the police report may not include the origin of the incident but only the crash into the other car. I was in shock and was not able to give full information.  I have asked for the complete information to be added to the report.      Also of note, and possibly related: Earlier in July, an alert \u2018brake, brake, brake\u2019 sounded and there was a flashing on the dashboard that said \u2019\u2019brake\u2019.
