Sometimes when depressing it they start engaging where they normally would & sometimes you have to depress it all the way to the floor to get it to stop. My daughter informed me of the problem so I drove it to pick up pizza. When parking at the pizza place it happened to me..... I jumped a sidewalk curb almost hit people walking on the other side because the brakes didn't engauge in time. My problem has not been confirmed by a dealer service center but the exact same problem is listed with the 2009 Murano & has been recalled because of a reaction with a metal plating turning the brake fluid to a gelatin solution after 10 years. This 2009 Murano recall was in 2019. My Murano is 10 years old now. & has under 80,000 miles & had new brake pads put on 15,000 miles ago even though they didn't show much wear. I live in a rural area & the closest Nissan dealer over 50 miles away so I can't just drop by a Nissan dealership. No warning lights have come on with this vehicle as of yet. This Murano is my 16 year old daughters & she is not very tall so she is not able to depress the brakes far enough to stop when this happens. I have had to park the Murano until we get this problem resolved. Please respond with how I can resolve this braking problem.
