The dash was clear: there were no warning lamps, messages or any symptoms prior to the event.  The dealer (Jim Coleman Nissan, Bethesda) found that the high pressure power steering hose had \"blown off\" and the power steering switch was also damaged and needed to be replaced.  I pulled over and parked, but did not stay in the vehicle because online research on my phone after the fact showed that 2014 Muranos were previously recalled for this problem and that fires sometimes ensued.  Nissan HQ stated that the recall for 2014 Muranos for this problem did not include my 2014 Murano's VIN #.
