I learned of the recall via CarFax rather than through Lexus. As I continued to drive and service the Lexus NX300, I received conflicting information from Lexus about whether or not my vehicle was impacted by the recall. Regardless, Lexus informed me that there was no remedy for the defect. In July of 2021 (at least 18 months after the defect was identified) I finally received notice from Lexus that a remedy is available.  Lexus clearly knew of the defect prior to issuing the recall, but waited several months before even directly notifying me of the recall, allowing me to drive a vehicle they had already deemed unsafe for months. It is absurd that a manufacturer would allow unsafe vehicles on the road, jeopardizing human lives, while the manufacturer took their time to find a solution. In the meantime, they released new/refreshed vehicle models. This is a clear example of a car manufacturer placing profits over safety and should be addressed. For the record, I no longer own the vehicle. I decided to get rid of it when I lost faith that Lexus would ever resolve the issue.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2019","productMake":"LEXUS","productModel":"NX","manufacturer":"Toyota Motor Corporation"}]}]}
