This is a persistent problem with several general motor vehicles! I am amazed how many people mention when I google it. GM has a service bulletin on it. This IS a SAFETY issue!  Obviously this is one of the two main lights used 90% of driving at night. Apparently there is a voltage drop according to owners who have checked this out. But what ever it is there is a LOT of people who have this problem on several models and years of GM vehicles.   Please check into this safety issue.
