I have to move the shifter from left to right real hard a couple of times, then continue to try until it finally shuts off when you push the button. It apparently is a sensor on the transmission, however I am unable to pay for this at this time.  I feel  that because of all the other people who have spoke about this same issue online, that Mazda should do a recall.
