The mileage this occurred at is 26,175 miles. These tires are \u201crated\u201d by Michelin for 60,000 miles. I say rated because they carry a 60,000 mile tread life warranty, in writing (and on their website) from Michelin, which they provide the vehicle manufacturer to be placed in the glovebox. The second page of fine print, however, states in the next to final bullet point, that the warranty does not apply to OEM tires provided on new vehicle purchases. After speaking with several dealerships, parts departments and stand alone tire stores (which sell this brand), they are all aware of not only this practice with Michelin, but knew which model of tire I was referring to, without me mentioning it. This HAS to be either misrepresentation by the tire manufacturer or a factory defect from the same. It has to be one or the other.
