Specifically, while I was driving in the parking lot of the local international airport, I drove over a speed bump (about 5 mph) and heard a loud THUMP.  When I looked in the rear view mirror, I noticed my spare tire on the road.  Upon retrieval of the tire I noticed some rusty metal parts, adjacent the tire, that appeared to have been broken loose from under the car.  Thankfully I was not on the highway when this happened and that no one was behind me.  Someone could have been killed or seriously injured.
