The contact stated while refueling from the above half tank of fuel, there was an abnormal fuel odor inside and outside the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer to be inspected however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact was informed to continue refueling the vehicle until the dealer was able to lift the vehicle and check for leaks. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
