The forward radar sensor detects a target 3 feet in front of me and slams on the brakes if the cruise control is set. I can over ride it by turning off the CC, but then I get constant alarms for following too closely and collision alerts. The issue has generated 4 critical events to my company. This happens randomly, with no warning whether I am in traffic or not. I believe this to be a significant safety issue at worst, and a very unpleasant driving environment at best. According to my company, this is not the only two tractors in which this occurs.
