I brought it in to a Honda dealership to be inspected and I was told I was at fault even though it was an equipment error. There were no  lights on my dash indicating the sensors on my 2010 Honda civic were not functioning properly. Thankfully I was not on any highway during the the incident or more serious trouble could have occurred.
