The contact stated that while driving approximately 38 mph and making a right turn into traffic the warning messages \"brake assist, ABS, Stabilitrak, steering lost\" had suddenly displayed and when pressing the brake pedal the vehicle did not stop and crashed into the rear of a second vehicle which crashed into the rear of a third vehicle. During the crash, the airbags did not deploy and the contact sustained an injured left shoulder which did not require medical treatment. The occupant of the second vehicle was treated for an injury but no information was available.  A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The failure mileage was 97,153.
