I went to two different shops (independent and dealership) that stated the part is made of plastic and has a tendency to fail. Yes my safety is at risk due to the fact the car can run hot at any given time. Yes the car has been inspected and no there hasn't been any warning lights. When I took the car in for another problem, the tech noticed that the part was cracked and needs replacing. I am not sure why Chrysler would make a plastic part this close to an engine and now it is causing problems for customers.
