This means each time my wife sits in the passenger seat (she is approx. 120lbs,) the passenger air bag light illuminates and the air bag is disarmed. This then renders one of the key safety features inoperable, and she and I feel very unsafe in the car. However, my research tells me that it is designed to be that way. How can that be legal or permissible? This design is deeply flawed and should be addressed immediately. She should not be endangered purely due to her being the weight she is. Not all Americans are over weight.
