With the pedal pressed all the way to the floor, I was barely accelerating. Had this happened when I was pulling into traffic or otherwise had to accelerate quickly to avoid an incident, it could have been extremely dangerous. The battery almost completely died before I was able to pull over, but turning off the vehicle and starting it again returned the vehicle to normal.  The vehicle has not yet been inspected concerning this issue. There were no warning lights to indicate there was any sort of fault.
