The dealership informed me that the seatbelt pretensioner needed to be replaced. The issue posses as a safety risk due to this device pulls a seat belt tight if there is a sudden movement or stop. A seat belt tensioner main factor increases the passenger protection afforded by the safety belts in the case of an accident.  I called my extended warranty company and they informed me that they do not cover safety vehicle issues. (I have the preferred policy).
