PID once activated, the car uses navigation information and road signs to automatically adjust the vehicle's speed to the speed limit of the road.  In some instances, the system speed freezes at, e.g., 50 mph and no longer adjusts to the speed limit of the road.  When this happens, the vehicle will accelerate to the speed it froze at.  I have experienced this multiple times.  See attached image. The car indicates that it would accelerate to 50 mph in a 25 mph zone.
