An error message on the display said that there was a transmission issue and to stop the car. 2) Fortunately, I was able to safely pull off the road without incident. However, there are many places that I wouldn't have been able to do that (for example, on the Sagamore Bridge which I use daily). I could not accelerate and I was rapidly slowing down. I could have been rear-ended by one of the many tractor trailers that were on the road at the time as they are not able to slow down as quickly as a car. 3) The car is currently at the dealership - MB of Hanover, MA - awaiting a service appointment. To my knowledge, they have not yet tested it to see if they could replicate the issue. I have called the salesperson that we were talking with on 3/25 several times but he won't return my call. 4) Not yet. 5) There was a red warning message that said that the transmission failed and to stop the vehicle.
