When I attempted to install the car seat for my grandson I could not find the LATCH anchors. My sales rep attempted to find them and could not. I finally was told to make a service appointment and the service manager could not find them. He contacted GM and after getting a response from them told me they are an \"option\" and I could have them order parts 20788228 and 20788229 and install them. I called GM customer service and after several calls from them they signed me up for GM Rewards and told me I could use my Reward points to pay for the parts and installation. The rep also told me that none of these cars have the anchors.  This is a safety issue! And it's my understanding that these anchors are a requirement in new cars. My owners manual describes and pictures \"lower anchors built into the vehicle,\" but they are definitely not there. I am now using a booster seat without any tethers which I feel is unsafe. I am complaining not because of the cost of adding the anchors, but because this is a safety issue that no one at GM seems to understand is a legal requirement. I don't blame my dealer - Cappellino Buick, Williamsville, NY but I am surprised at their service department's lack of knowledge in this area.
