Truck brakes are used to stop trailer at unsafe distances.  Several trailers were used to verify.  I have attached the fix but Toyota says its warranty issue.  This is a \"safety\" issue.  I had my 3 year old son in the truck when i had to apply the brakes and couldn't stop in enough time.  The truck brakes could not handle the weight of the trailer hence why the trailer brakes were needed.
