If I don't stop the gas pump myself, a few seconds after pulling out of the gas station my car would stall and idle until my engine would just shut off and my wheel and break would lock. This happened while entering a highway, going into a busy intersection, and trying to get out of large mall space. In all of these settings, I was inches away from a car crash. I have brought this up to multiple mechanics who have never heard of this problem and weren't sure what to do. After doing my own research I realized that this is a common Chrysler/Jeep issue with models made between 2005-2015 models. There are no warning lamps, messages, or any signals that my car is going to stall and idle. I could not imagine a larger safety risk to myself, my passengers, and all of the drivers around me. Last week after filling up my tank and intentionally not filling it up all the way, I thought I was safe to drive home but I was wrong. As I was crossing the intersection five-way traffic, my car began to stall as a semi-truck was heading right into me.
