The dampener linkage cable from Hot/Cold Selector Knob control is not working. Several videos on YouTube show a History of GM being aware, but doesn't care.  No access to a 'working' A/C unit with Children, Pets or Adults in vehicle places ALL in danger, especially on extremely Hot hazy days. GM needs to correct this engineering design flaw and/or have parts or repairs available.
