This caused the rear tires to wear excessively on the inside edges of both tires, this wear is not easily seen from the outside of the vehicle. It is fortunate that the vehicle had developed an exhaust leak and the tire wear was discovered at this time before anything more catastrophic happened, the tires were worn down to the steel belting on the inside edges had they worn anymore they would have resulted in a blowout and loss of control of the vehicle which could have resulted in a serious accident. There were no warning lights displayed.
