I have a little over 18000 miles on my car at this point. I have taken great care of my car and have not hit and rough potholes or obstacles in the road. I have not “tracked” my car either. I have read about many other Corvette Z06 and Grand Sport owners who have suffered the same cracked and bent rim issues with the stock GM supplied wheels. Apparently the wheels are faulty as reported by hundreds of dissatisfied owners. The cracked wheels fail to hold air pressure causing a safety situation while driving at highway speeds. I understand that there is a current class action lawsuit in progress. I feel that GM should stand by their product and replace these inferior wheels with safer, more sturdy ones..especially for the price we paid for the vehicle. At this point, the consumers need the NHTSA to help us with this situation as GM has refused to accept any responsibility at this point. They blame the consumer’s driving habits as a reason for the issue….not the obvious faulting manufacturing of the wheel. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to hearing your response.
