After finding out that many of my same car, same color are having the exact same issue in the same spot. I can provide pictures of when the peeling started happening and in a short amount of time how much has come off. My safety has not been put at risk. It has been taken to an authorized Chevy dealership and was told that there was nothing they could do, I showed all the other cars of my same model and color having the same issue and they said because there was no recall there was nothing they could do.
