As I look online on how to repair it I see NUMEROUS occasions of this happening in similar cars as mine. This part allows the drive shaft to not move up and down. When the center support bearing is defective and pops out of place it allows the drive shaft to move up and down. Which ruins other parts of the drive shaft and transfer cases.
