They stop in place and will not move even when trying to move them manually.  This is an intermittent problem.  The windshield wipers will reset and start working after a period of 6+ hours of the car being turned off.  This happened on 12/1/22 and 12/10/22 while driving the car.    Car dealership will not assist unless there is failure that can be produced at time of service.
