The turning vehicle approached the intersection and was stopped several seconds waiting for opposite traffic to clear to make their turn.  As I proceeded through the intersection at 55MPH, the eyesight technology must have falsely locked on the vehicle in the turn lane and applied the automatic emergency braking.  This resulted in a sudden skidding and a near miss rear-end collision from a vehicle behind me.  I was able to apply the gas and avoid being rear-ended.
