A malfunction has not yet occurred, but this seems as if it could be a potential hazard once the plastic completely fails. This vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Seatbelt failures put the driver, front passenger and rear passengers, as well as other vehicles, at risk of injury or fatality in an accident. I have not contacted any dealers or independent service centers regarding this issue. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the potential failure.
