Because this piece failed my windshield was fogged over and I continually having to reach up to the windshield wiping fog off in order to see.  In the conditions it was dangerous for myself and other drivers that I was unable to see clearly.  The mechanic at Division Auto Clinic says he replaces these actuators all the time on GM vehicles.   The vehicle was repaired (see invoice) costing me $300 to fix.
