There is a clunking/shudder that occurs intermittently that sounds metallic. It is progressively getting worse over time. I took it to the Dodge dealership to get looked at but they spent about 30 minutes on it and told me they could not diagnose it.  They said that it could be a CV shaft starting to fail but to wait it out and allow it to get worse. Since it is only happening in AWD, that does not seem practical. I am concerned that the AWD system will fail while I am driving in bad, snowy weather and will get into an accident due to this. I did say this to the dealer but they assured me that would not happen. I drive mostly highway miles and do not have another vehicle to drive.
