While turning the vehicle to park in a spot, the vehicle suddenly took off and collided with a pillar. There were four separate incidents in my town alone (Charlottesville, VA) in recent months where a BMW SUV experienced this problem. While I cannot completely rule out pedal misapplication, I would like to note that I do not think this is the case and this has not happened to me in 15 years of driving. I have recently had the battery and the break pads replaced. Please make a note of this problem and if you see a pattern, please investigate.
