No warning lights were on in the vehicle. Thankfully we were close to home when we noticed the noise and were able to immediately get off the 110 freeway.  We decided not to drive the car and had it towed on Tuesday morning to the nearest Chrysler Dealership, Bravo CDJR of Alhambra.  Today we received confirmation from the dealership that the PTU casing is cracked, leaking fluid and metal shavings were found.  Dealer has recommended new PTU and PTU fluid. But they don't know when they'll be able to find the part for our vehicle since it is so new.  I couldn't find a recall of this part for 2022 Jeep Cherokees online so I thought we should report it in case this is a faulty part.
