Subsequent to this inspection, the dealership could recommend either an application of Corrosion Resistant Compound OR an entire Frame replacement.  My vehicle's Frame was severe enough to qualify for replacement, BUT, the dealership indicated that the Fuel Tank Band holding the fuel tank in place was sufficiently rusted that it should be replaced to the tune of $421.58  If this item is a safety issue, I'd think it would be subject to recall and replacement.
